Home in Eugene for Xmas

Continuing my winter-holiday visit home to see the kids & grandbaby and to alleviate my homesickness a bit, I've been hanging out in the Cloud here in Eugene for a few days and I'm just happy as a clam in here. The kids and my hometown friends are 100% in agreement about how cool it is- I found a sweet RV spot on airbnb (i'm a veteran airbnb'er) and have been really enjoying the country feel of the place, as well as the short drive to everything in town. and this is just too cool. I love, LOVE, having everything all self-contained, and i'm just tickled that absolutely *everything* works the way it's supposed to.

The details: Eric (my best friend and music partner) traveled to Eugene, OR with me as we decided to caravan vehicles (I'd never driven an RV over the pass, and I thought that RV PLUS towing my car might be a little much for the first time). Cloud Launch Imminent!

I've been restoring my '92 Fleetwood Jamboree 27' Searcher Special (re-christened "the Cloud") for the past 2 months. It's been....a learning experience, to be sure, as well as more work than I had ever imagined! I knew it had been neglected for the previous 5 or so years, but as a complete RV newbie, I didn't know about aaaaallll the little things that can go wrong, break, fall apart, mold, etc on one, and I'd never heard the axiom "It's not IF they will leak, but WHEN"....
