Cyberspace and broken homes

Posted 05-03-2009 at 03:42 PM by geaugeausmom

Where does stuff go when it vanishes from the computer?

My broken home is not the result of computers and cyberspace. It is the result of some broken gear teeth in both the living room slides. Presently, a fellow camper who is a retired RV mechanic is under the coach working on the gears, trying to get the slides retracted so that I can get to my repair appointment on Thursday.

The puzzle is why both slides got broken gears simultaneously. They are...

BC cont'd

Posted 05-02-2009 at 01:59 PM by geaugeausmom

Back from our run. We are at an RV park in Gila Bend, AZ, where we spent the winter. When the wind is not blowing at gale-force, I leash Gogo and attach the leash to my bicycle. My initial plan was to teach her to trot alongside of the bike. She had other ideas. From day one, she made it her job to pull the bike (and me, all 100 ++ pounds). Twice a day she bombards me with kisses, barks, and general frenzy until I leash her, and we go. We have become a fixture here--she really does pull me....

BC's, continued

Posted 05-02-2009 at 12:28 PM by geaugeausmom

I got Gogo from a friend whose bitch had had pups. Now, I'm not usually one for making stupid decisions, but when I do, boy, is it a doozey. I, also, took her brother. Bad decision. BAD decision!

At the time, I had a double-wide on 20 acres, where the pups had plenty of room to run and play and exercise.
This was spring in Florida, and I had a beautiful flower garden. Guess where I'm going with this. Yes, of course, in a week's time they had completely destroyed my garden. I had...

Border Collies

Posted 05-02-2009 at 12:21 PM by geaugeausmom

My Border Collie is 3 1/2 years old. She is the most delightful, persistent, laugh-provoking, annoying, loyal, intelligent companion one could have. Gogo(aka Geaugeau) is my first experience with owning a dog--all my own, a house-dog. She dogs(pun intended) my heels, butt, hands every moment of the day. At night, she sleeps right next to my head. She wakes me in the morning by licking whichever arm is out of the cover. Then, she stands over me, pawing at me until I get up.

Limbo

Posted 05-01-2009 at 11:44 PM by geaugeausmom

While I am thinking of a title for my blog, I'll go ahead and blog on. I want to think of an amazing, eye-catching, original title.

Right now I'm sitting at an RV Park at Gila Bend, Arizona, in the Sonoran Desert. This is one of my favorite places on earth; I've been here since December 10, 2008. My plans to leave on April 10, 2009, went ahead, and I went to the Painted Rock Petroglyphs to spend the next 10 days.

The ten days I stayed there were an amazing experience....
