Since day one after I purchased the TST Model 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TST) (TPMS), I have had to remove sensors to add air when required. On the rear duals this was not so much of a problem since the sensor was sitting on an open valve stem which is connected to a Crossfire...

Hey Guys ...
This is my first post subsequent to installing Windows 8 Pro.
Here's what you get in the retail package ... 32 and 64 Bit install software, I used the 64 right away. if you put in the 32 it'll tell you to switch over if you have enough hardware to support 64 Bit.
The Windows 8 Pro retail package consists of a slide over windowed cover, a hinged package,...

Although we have what can be considered a big step up from the OEM RV mattress in our motorhome, we were beginning to get that achy back syndrome when getting up in the morning. It was getting to be no fun so to improve our comfort we attempted a few mattress pad products on the market with little to no benefit in the long run.
We initially purchased a mattress pad from Camping World and we tried that for a while but in time it was more of the same discomfort. The pad came out of a...
One of the most important systems on our recreational vehicles are the holding tanks. Some RVs will have multiple holding tanks and what is placed in the tanks needs to be vented for a number of reasons. If there is any pressure in a tank and a person opened a blade on a toilet, that could be a very unpleasant experience - therefore venting prevents any surprises.
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Quoting a spokesman for the RV Industry Association, the South Bend Tribune reported yesterday that high gasoline prices don't diminish the economic advantage RVing has to offer until the price reaches $10 per gallon.
"The fuel prices don't really impact RV sales quite the way a lot of people might think," Kevin...
The Alliance Coach display at the FMCA "Hollywood" SEA rally in Brooksville, Florida.
While attending the FMCA Southeast Rally in Brooksville, FL, I met Brett Howard from Alliance Coachout of Wildwood. Brett is well known in the Industry having come over from Monaco Coach Corporation quite some time ago and helping bring Alliance Coach into the forefront as a quality dealership in the...

This past week or so we went to Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach to camp with some very good friends of ours. All worked well up until the very last day.
I wanted to take a shower and naturally I would reach for the wall switch to crank up my Fantastic Fan like I always have for the past 8 years. I waited and waited but the dome never opened. The motor was indeed running but no-joy.
I toggled the wall switch to off and although I saw the wheel rotating in...
These pictures were taken at the FMCA 86th Family Reunion Rally in Madison, Wisconsin. Seen is the 2012 40PDQ Holiday Rambler Ambassador. Throughout this rally event, temperatures were somewhat below normal in the mid - to high 70s. During the week prior to our arrival, temperatures were in the 90s with high humidities. We could not have had better weather than was enjoyed during the week of the reunion rally. The rally was held at the Alliant Energy Center.
As seen in Madison, WI at the FMCA 86th Family Reunion Rally I took these pictures of the new 2012 40DPQ Monaco Knight. What personally struck me as an attention grabber, was the detail in the front cap. Gone are the days when you can't pick out one motorhome from another in a row. The design statement by the new Monaco lineup for 2012, is bold and will leave no doubt in the eye of the beholder. Even the rear cap, typically a non event, is an attention grabber.
When we first bought our motorhome in 2003, the Allison LCT1000 came equipped with Dexron III. I never thought much about the fluid however I shortly became aware of synthetic transmission fluid. The first change that I made was using Amsoil Torque Shift and I changed...
1. The MCD shades arrived in a what seems to be an indestructible shipping container. 2. The shades were bubble wrapped and identified by location. The clips (6) were taped...
Rough casting, composite graphite iron (CGI) blocks at the head of the line await inspection before being captured by a robotic machining enclosure. The 4 blocks in the foreground are for the MaxxForce 7 -V8.
Our tour of the Big Bore plant was now complete after about 3 ˝ hours. As we were departing the plant, Jason pointed...
Jason demonstrating the dynamic forces that act upon the wrist pin and how those are overcome.
MaxxForce pistons are machined cold to accommodate the distortions of expansion after they get hot. The wrist pin for example is not straight line bored but slightly arched so that the mass acting on the wrist pin is equally...
MaxxForce® Engine Plant Tour Navistar Diesel of Alabama Huntsville
MaxxForce Engine Plant#1, the "Vee Plant" on James Record Row is adjacent to the Huntsville Airport.
I was pleasantly surprised when I received an invitation to visit the Navistar Engine Plant in Huntsville, Alabama. After responding “Yes” (of course) we made the necessary reservations and departed...
