I've been posting in the FB Renegade Valencia/Verona/Explorer Owners group about my unique #veronabuild project, but want to document the full chronology of this multi-year project here.
The backstory...
On October 29, 2017, the Renegade Factory had one coach catch fire ( https://www.953mnc.com/2017/10/29/fi...de-rv-bristol/ ), but it smoked the entire factory and sprinklers likely triggered, so their insurance totaled everything that was in progress that day and sold them for salvage. A fellow Coloradoan won the auction for unit K-10-0447 and drove it back to Black Hawk, CO in early 2018. Due to other priorities, including building a spectacular new mountain property, he never got around to working on the coach and put it up for sale on Craigslist in April 2022.
As a life-long DIYer, with 5+ years to retirement and the facility to finish the coach, I purchased the 2018 Verona 40VBH shown below in May 2022.
