Since the refuge has reopened, we have been busy, even with a total of 4 volunteer couples, we still have a lot to do. The maintenance crew for the 3 refuges in this area mowed a lot of the public areas. I spent a couple of days weed eating and trimming trees on the trails.

This week we started spraying the boardwalks and pier. There is a total of close to 1/2 mile. Today we sprayed 30 gallons on water seal.

Susan has worked in the visitors center with guest and some light cleaning and dusting. Today she took the sprayer and attacked the weeds with Roundup. Tomorrow she will start attaching missing names for trees on a trail.

Just under a month left here and we head back to Houston area fro DR. appoints for the year. Then a couple of weeks at SFA S.P. for some relaxing.

Jan 1 we report to our new host assignment at Brazos Bend S.P. outside of Houston.

Dec 5 to 8, we will be at the Texas Boomers Christmas Rally and catching up with old and new friends.
