Hi folks,
Just signed up and wanted to share my latest find. We purchased a SEPTER E195 LED 19" TV/DVD for $120.00
It runs on 12 volts! It draws 1.2 amps!
I am using my battery's to power it directly, no transformers. The solar charging is maintaining 14.5 volts and we have had no issue running it for 8 days both day and night.
The picture is awesome, with the DVD running it draw 1.3 amps. This replaces another LCD (not LED) TV that only ran on 120VAC. The total draw for this TV and independent DVD together was 8 amps. One must keep in mind that inverters are not very efficient.
This new TV not only doubles as a DVD giving power savings, it also is a second monitor for doing computer CAD work while we are consulting on the road. Thus we got rid of 3 different devices: 2nd computer monitor; an LCD TV; a DVD player!
Hope this helps with a TV purchase for your RV.
