Ain't it funny...

Posted 06-01-2010 at 11:20 AM by geaugeausmom

...how time slips away? It'a already June 2010, and I am back in Virginia.

I am trying to copy and paste these blogs so that I can print them and maybe one day write a book. However, it seems that I've been a bit repetitious in some areas, and I'm getting the chronicles somewhat twisted up. I've printed all up to today's post, so when time permits, I will go back and cull and try to get things in some sort of order.

When things seem to begin getting out of order, whether it be blogs, my house or my life, I watch "Hoarders" on TV. Nothing will spur me into action quicker. It really does not seem possible that people can live in the filth and chaos that they create for themselves on that series. Right now one of my sliding closet doors is off the track, and, since it is the back door, the only way to get it back is to take off the front door. I cannot figure out how to do that, and neither do I know anyone who can fix it for me. So, my closet and bedroom are utter chaos, and I get the willies every time I have to go in there.

The RV is parked at the home of a dear friend who has electricity and water for me and allows me to stay for months at a time. Since I got back to Virginia on April 21, it has rained nearly every day. For the most part, I am having to keep Gogo tethered 24/7 because she has begun to chase cars. However, about 10 pm when there is no traffic on this tiny back country gravel road, I let her off leash to roam for a few minutes. We are parked beside a barn, and when it rains the barnyard becomes poop soup. She came in the other night reeking, sure enough covered with the slop. Since she sleeps with me, I had to give her a shower. Though she doesn't particularly like water, she is so good and just stands there, letting me rub and scrub and curse. Then she was content to let me wrap her in dry towels so that she could get up on the sofa and relax. Such a lovely companion.
