Thanks Harry,
There are several types of road edge reflectors here in the states (right out of the book "101 uses of a dead cat") and I’ve felt those bumps also, but I’m fairly certain that it’s a U –joint so as soon as I find the time and a level location to park I’ll jack her up, crawl under and see who’s loose.
Got a little chilly last Friday night so today I thought I’d try firing up the furnace.
Fan turned on, I heard the igniter... hay there's the flame, but what’s this horrible racket!!!
The fan is grinding on something now… damn, I’ll have to pull it out after all. Well nothing crawled in and made a home but like everything else, with age comes sag and the designers of this thing hadn’t accounted for that. A little bending and a couple of tech screws and I’m in business.
We have a couple of weeks before our next trip so this was a good time to take a look at the water heater leek. After removing a panel under the kitchen sink I saw what appears to me to be an old milk bottle box, only very pregnant.
Yup this thing froze and there’s no fix’en that… but wait… there’s more… it’s round now not square… it’s not going to fit through the square opening on the outside or through this cabinet door… saws-all to the rescue… imagine trying to cut a basket ball in half with a reciprocating saw through a mail slot, what fun.
it was Sunday night when I ordered up a new one along with the awning fabric from ppl it's Thursday night and I see the box's on my door step, this weekend I'll install them.
Oops, forgot to post this Friday… it’s now Monday, water heater went in without a problem but I don’t think I like this bypass system, the lines are only 3/8 inch and the valves restrict the lines even more so there’s not much flow from the hot side of the taps, a shower wont be very quick at this rate. I also found a few more leeks on the hot water lines I’ll have to fix by next weekend. If I’m going to pull new lines I think I’ll go ½ inch.
awning went on without any trouble, just fallowed the directions, though the pull string was hard to find at first, didn't want to rip a seem out.
this week we continue with the plumbing.

There is a certain comfort knowing there are people who are inteligent, witty, and a great deal of tenasity fighting the good fight against these rv beasts that apparently defy all rules of time space and science.
It appears these rvs have learned quantum physics and the philosophy of "if a tree falls in a forest and crashes to the ground where no human ear is near enough to hear it...does it make a sound?" the rv has developed and expanded to...." if I shove something in the heater fan and also cause a small leak..will he notice?"

To know you are all there struggling also has boosted my self confidence...Im rejuvinated and ready to do battle once more.

Oh by the way my fresh water tank leaks like a sieve...I found a drain tap fillted to was in the open position. Now I have fresh water.
