Owning a Class A Toy Hauler

Posted 03-12-2022 at 07:18 AM by Jim2015

My wife went out and bought us a Newmar Toy Hauler. We use it to take our motorcycles with us to various motorcycle events around the country. We had thought, what a great way to save money, instead of having to rent hotel rooms and places to stay, we can just bring it all with us.

We had thought, the price tag of $200,000 would be an investment since we are both retired now and have the time to travel. The price tag is just the first in a series of things we have had to face. I think you can liken a Class A to owning a boat. It takes constant upkeep; the cost to travel is not any cheaper but at least you know you have a clean environment to stay when you are traveling. We've encountered one too many hotel rooms that we had to share with bugs (such as roaches) and places where the walls were so thin you can hear them having sex in the next room Sometimes that is not too bad, even entertaining ( - lol that was just a little humor for those who may be offended by that comment.)

As I have time, I will write a little more but for now, this is the start of my blog.
