Last year before we put her away for the season we had a few items that needed repairs and in true fashion, I put the off until 2 days before we leave for Colorado for a week.
1. Level jack alarm would sound when turning ,,, Low fluid easy fix. Check and done
2. On the way home on our last trip we drug the front nose on a low driveway. No body damage but we broke the gennie latch clean off.
After looking into many different options I decided to go with a different style latch. I picked them up on Amazon and got 2 just in case I do it again...

I decided to turn the latch around so objects on the road could not accidentally op it open. I also chose a latch that could use a clevis pin or lock to secure keeping it closed.
After straightening the latch mounting points I drilled new holes.
Below are a few pics of the progress. Entire thing took about 3 min. Still need a few nuts and bolts, Headed to Home Depot now..
EDIT-- Changed all the mounting screws and nuts to Stainless Steel with nylon locking nuts.
Sorry the pics are sideways.. I hope this helps anyone else that has broken their latch.
