The final touches.
OK I have been tinkering on the beast for about three weeks. I believe I have disassembled, cleaned, reassembled just about every part that I could get at without the use of a lift and giant hammer. A flush of the fresh water tank was still producing some algae but another treatment or two should fix that. Last items on the list are to finish buffing the gel coat (almost done), give it a good wax and load the coach for the maiden voyage. My first opportunity is in a couple of weeks. To celebrate I hired the local carpet cleaning establishment to clean the carpets and furniture. I should then have enough time to install the new surge and power protector (I love gadgets that do something) and clean up a little surface rust on the bottom of the basement cabinets. I thought I would get tired of working on the coach but am finding it as infectious as working on my old Porsche. There are times I drive the DW a bit crazy I am sure. I notice that after dinner in the evening she just gives me this odd smile when I say I am headed out to work on the coach. She has to be convinced that I am an obsessive compulsive.
