were covered by the same vinyl the rest of the interior floor was covered with. It wasn't a perfect fit and it was useless for wiping your shoes or bare-feet. It just allowed for the dirt to be further tracked inside the RV. So, I removed the vinyl from the wood and carpeted them with a grey indoor/outdoor carpet from Lowe's ($5.00). Some automotive grade adhesive (3M Super77) and a few staples was all it took to finish the project. I did remove the hardware on the battery door(step) to get the carpet under the bracket.
