My first campervan

Posted 12-17-2012 at 10:32 AM by hippyman

About a week ago, I received an early Christmas present, the title to a 1995 Ford E-150 van, with a regency conversion package. I love it, I have been cleaning it, and working on the back, ever since. It has a few things that need tweaking, before I hit the road, so I am working on those now. I'll keep everyone posted.

lighting over control pannel

Posted 12-14-2012 at 09:14 AM by jjoy

My wife and I are traveling to the east coast and then over to the western states before returning to Alaska in April. This is our second trip in this 2004 Itasca Meridian IKP34H. We purchased it in 2009 with 17 thousand miles on it and now have a little over 32 thousand on it. Two trips up and down the Alcan highway and a circuit of the lower 48 states.

We were parked in a nice RV park in upstate North Carolina, about a hundred miles from our destination of Stanley N.C. As the temperature...

Still at it!!

Posted 11-27-2012 at 11:41 AM by riverbender

Well, things are not going as planned here. We decided to take out a hill that blocks the view of incoming campers and makes the swing into the park a little tricky. It is nearly done, but it is taking longer than anticipated. Hopefully it will give campers a place to pull over to register allowing people already in the park to go around them and get in without waiting!
We had planned to go visit my familly for Thanksgiving (it's our annual tradition) but my husband is having some medical...

Posted 11-24-2012 at 06:09 AM by Blacknchrome

Took and painted the front windshield wiper arms yesterday so that they look good. Many years had been hard on the arms so it was sand them...primer then and a nice coat of rust-0-leum and they look like new....took the drivers rear mud flap arm and flap off so I can make new ones for the missing passenger side...going to do it in stainless tubing..stronger and will never rust...will bolt them back on and will look great..

Cleaned up the compartments on the entry side...need a long...

Truck Systems Technologies Provides “Easy” Solution

Posted on November 18, 2012 by Mike Pelchat

Since day one after I purchased the TST Model 507 Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TST) (TPMS), I have had to remove sensors to add air when required. On the rear duals this was not so much of a problem since the sensor was sitting on an open valve stem which is connected to a Crossfire...

Tire Balancing/Truing

Posted 11-02-2012 at 11:15 AM by mmartinkus

Have you ever had your tires balanced but were not totally satisfied with the outcome? It can become a frustrating experience at times if you have to return to the tire shop over and over trying to get a smooth ride especially if it is a new set of tires that seem out of balance.
Many times the cause is not that the tire(s) is out of balance but that it is out of round. When repeated attempts to balance fail, what the tire tech should be doing is checking run-out on the tire to see if it...
