Livin in the Clouds continues....

As Fall is fast approaching us here in western North Carolina things are getting rather busy around the Lodge and the Campground.
The zipline here has now been leased to Wildwater Rafting out of Bryson City, NC and will run now the remainder of this season and all of next season. Brett has gone to Bryson City and has been trained and certified as a "Canopy Ranger" for the new "Canopy Tours" (zip-line). Everyone is anxious for the new tours to start Thursday, September 24.
The Fall air is so refreshing with it's crispness and brings along many more campfires at the campground now.
For me, I love this time of year. Sitting around a campfire with coffee or spiced apple cider is so relaxing.
When we left Tampa back in early April we were headed into an "unknown" lifestyle.
We were new to being work-campers, we had never been to this campground that we were going to, we had sold the stick house and going to live in 336 sq ft of home. Our Fifth Wheel!
There was so much anxiety with it all. Would we really be able to make this work was the biggest fear. Would we be able to make enough money to support ourselves doing this?
I think our doubts or questions were answered as soon as we arrived at the Vance Toe River Lodge on Easter Sunday morning. We knew we had found what we were looking and hoping for in our new venture in life.
We arrived here with full intentions of only working from April-October. And then we thought we would be looking for another "job" on the road for the winter months.
WELL, we have decided to winter here in the mountains.
We love it here that much.
For us it just seems like home, but then how could it not with such a great family to work for. They treat us as family.

I hope for anyone who is only considering taking on all the things like we decided to do in work camping, and changing locations, and just totally living a new lifestyle, that you find a great place to start off with like we have.
