We have a 35A and love it for the time that we have it on the road. The driver's side, (Kwikee Products)slide has malfunctioned from day one. Most times it would not slide in or if it did come in the slide would be crooked. The dealer has had it three times for repairs. First time for three days, broken wire. Second time they replaced the ram assembly module (9 days in shop). Last time no torque on forward ram dealer replaced the plastic threaded end on screw shaft and adjusted unit. This time it appears to be operating properly. At least, so far, the dealer has made good on the repairs. Good unit, maybe not so good slide manufacturer?

Glad it's fixed & operating OK now Albert.... Is the slide hydraulic or electric motor with screw? I haven't heard of others with the Kwikee system complaining, so I'm not sure the issues you experienced are common problems. Like you said, Kwikee is relatively new to the RV world in terms of jacks & slides, but I would think Winnie had done their homework & testing before they decided to use them on coaches.
Frankly, I think the double-action cylinder design of the Kwikee jacks (power up, not just power down) is a better system than HWH... Just my 2 cents; -I've not owned a coach with Kwikee slides or jacks.
