1141 LED bulb is a 1156 LED bulb

I actually had to educate the salesman at RV supply place! A first for me. He didn't know that if you wanted to replace a regular incandescent 1141 bulb with a LED bulb-that you use a 1156 LED. He said he had tried and tried to find a 1141 LED but no one makes them! I started thinking that maybe I should post this because it could help others. It is confusing! Charlie

1141's and 1156's have the same base and voltage requirements as do 93's,1073's, and a number of others. The difference is the lumens they produce and in turn the power they draw. In the incandescent world the power draw and heat could be a factor but in the LED world the only issue would be the physical size of the bulb. 1141 vs 1156 are close enough but always check the physical size specs before swapping out bulbs just because the base is the same.
