'16 35P Water Leak

First post with pics, be kind, LOL.

I’ve had a couple small leaks by the water pump, but now a steady flow from under the floor. It has been a little cold, down in the 30’s. The white water line gets pretty firm when cold. I was using the water with the slide in and had turned the faucet off but the pump was still cycling, one second pulse every 20 seconds. Leak or bad pump.

Checked all the obvious spots, no leak noted. Came back an hour later and water was running from under the RV and inboard of the stairs. This is also behind the water heater. The floor around the water heater tank was dry, so the source was the lines coming for the slide side kitchen lines, that also run behind the water heater.

Lifted the floor under the kitchen sink and found the source of leak. The leak was from a quick disconnect (QD) fitting right where the line comes out of the floor and where there is major twisting going on as slide moves in and out. These fittings are great, but not designed to be in conditions where there is major movement. This QD is also a check valve. This was on the hot water line. The cold water check valve QD is located behind the water heater, where there is no movement.

Interesting, there are no fittings shown on the drawings, but the cold water line had a straight fitting and a 90 degree fitting. The hot water had the QD and a straight fitting. After the fittings, they both then lead up to above the floor. Kind of a messy setup?

I will be relocating the QD. I’m gonna try adding a straight fitting to replace QD, then a 90 degree, like the cold water line. The white water line is pretty hard. I will use larger clamps, #6, to seal these lines to the fittings. Small number 4’s will not do it. They are not strong enough to tighten on the plastic line to not leak.

All pics looking forward, with slide in.
First pic, as found. Leak around white QD/check valve.
Second pic with the line removed from QD. You can see the "O" ring that provides seal and metal clips that hold the line in.
Third pic, as repaired for now.
