My 35N floor plan is almost the same as your 35u so the gray tank might be in the same place.

Mine is behind an access panel that can be seen when the storage bay door just in front of the passenger side duals is opened. It's across the entire top of the compartment and has about 16 screws holding it in place. It extends a little into the next compartment as well.
I removed the pistons so the doors could open all the way up and give better access to the screws along the top.

There is a very aggressive stretchy black caulking compound on the panel. I had to use a flat pry bar to get the panel out far enough to cut the compound with a pair of shears.

I installed the non-contact TrueLevel tank sensing system that Winnebago started putting on their motor homes as standard about 20 minutes after I bought mine. That's why I wanted access to the side of the gray tank where the sensors are.
EDIT: I just checked the plumbing diagram for the 35U at WInnebago
and the gray tank does appear to be as described above.

Clay is pretty close. On the passenger side, open the storage door in front of the rear tire and the one behind it(propane bay) You will see screws that secure the fender panel that goes over the rear tire. Remove those screws and the tire panel raises up on hinges. You will need to loosen or remove the pistons that hold up the storage door in front of the tire inorder to be able to completely raise the tire panel. Get something or someone to hold up that panel. Then you see that metal panel Clay was talking about that has about 3 million screws in it!! Remove them and gently pry the panel away using a putty nife or something because of the sticky stuff and there is the grey panel sensors.
