2004 Sightseer window latch repair

Has anyone ordered the window latch repair kit? Wondering what is involved in repairing/replacing the latch? The tab is broken off one of mine and the window slides open when I am going down the road. Thanks

I have replaced three or four latches on this coach.

You need an electric drill and bit, some masking tape and one sheet of typing paper, and some lock-tite thread goop.

I make a U shaped catcher from the paper and tape it to the window beneath the broken lock to catch the filings when you drill out the rivet in the broken lock.

Replacing the lock is easy ... the only difficult part is getting the bolt tightened just right so that the lock "latches" when it crosses the little bumps on the window frame ... you need lock-tite to keep the nut from jiggling loose ...

On our unit there are two different sized latches. Make sure you order the correct one

I have a 2004 Sightseer and get a lot of my parts from Lichtsinn motors in Iowa right down the street from Winnebago. It take about 2 days to get it the parts to the east coast.
