2004 Vectra remote key inoperative

Notice recently that my key fob was not working consistently. Today it quit. Replaced battery after checking voltage. Still no workee. The switches in the coach work. Assume they are hardwired. Regular key works. Any hints would be appreciated.

20 YO , fob could be weak, even with a new battery .
At the shop before I retired , we had a signal strength tester.

Perhaps info from the Winnebago wiring site will pinpoint where the receiver is located and trying the fob beside the receiver will get results .

Here's a thread with useful info: Keyless Entry System with Cargo Locks Remote Replacement - FOUND!

It looks like the particular seller mentioned in the above thread may not be around anymore, but you should be able to search eBay for a 4-button remote with FCC ID G571TX318 and that should work.

FCS Frigette - Keyless Entry Remote Fix

OP: Does your cargo door locks and unlocks work as you would expect?

A) You lost your front door "plunger" that can be easily replace; or...

B) ...based on you answer, IMO, you should scrap your OEM Keyless Door Entry in favor of an after market system.

PS'
I'm curious. How many miles on your RV do you have?

The compartment locks work. The panel switches work. The Fob is faulty. Today it worked.
I doubt the Fobs that old can be replaced. May have to upgrade. Thanks for you help.

You probably can't find a new fob that looks just like the old ones, but you CAN get one that works to replace the old one (see my post earlier in this thread).
