Question 2005 Itasca 29r Hood Adjustment

Hi
My name is Sharon, I have recently purchased an Itasca Sunova 29r class A.
I have noticed the hood is out of adjustment. The hood opens and swings down like it should but when closing it up there is a 1/2" gap at the top and feels loose. Is there a way to adjust it to fit tighter?
Thanks in advance!!

Hi Sharon! Welcome to IRV2! We’re sure glad you joined the gang here!

Congrats on the new rig! Hopefully someone will be along that can help with that. Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

I'm facing this too. In the process of trying to make adjustments I pulled the main bracket loose from the fiberglass body, so now I have 2 problems. I've seen other posts about this, and I'm going to run some bolts to make it secure and possibly shim so hood fits better.

We have a 2004 Itasca Sunrise with the same problem and I would be delighted to find a solution.

I've adjusted it six ways from Sunday and the best I've been able to achieve is about a quarter inch spacing on both sides at the top and just under a half inch space at the top in the middle. I made so may "adjustments" to it, though, that I could't begin to tell you exactly what all I've done. About all I've really done is learn to ignore it.........
