2008 Voyage 35L headlight rust inside

The headlights in this model are rusted inside (the reflectors). The headlights say Hella on them. I'm just wondering if anyone knows the Hella headlight number not the Winnebago number. I'm sure I can buy Hella for much less that having to purchase them from Winnebago. I emailed Hella twice to ask if they could supply their number and no answer back from them. I think the rust must be common as I see Hella states if you see moisture on the inside to turn the headlights on for a hour or two to dry them out. I never saw any moisture, but they have lots of rust in them.

We just purchased a used '07 35L. In response to your post here I looked at ours and see no signs of rust . Your information is good to know, I'll be watching this post to see if you get the numbers you are looking for. I can't help with the information you are looking for, but have you tried taking one to a local auto parts store to see if they can help?

While I'm not familiar with your specific headlight, frequently the headlights come from some mass-produced vehicle other than your motorhome. For example, my Itasca has headlights from the previous generation Chevrolet/GMC Suburban and can easily be found on eBay for half or one-third the cost compared to Winnebago/Itacsa. Hopefully some one can post what vehicle they came from, if that's the case, like my motorhome, and save you some money.

Also, can you post the part number that you do have? -RT

Zippo, have you tried taking one out and heading to the local auto parts store to see if they could help? Or maybe just drive the motorhome in and have them look at the lights for you?

I have not, we are on the road a lot and very little time at home. I'll try to get at it mid July when we'll be home for about a month. Seems like everytime we are home there are a million other things that need to be done.
