My Vista gets about 6 miles to the gallon with about 20,000 miles on the odometer, it has never been much worse or better, is this about what I can expect or is others getting better mileage? Tend to run about 65-70 mph on the freeway.

AS the speed goes up, the drag on the box goes up drastically....double the speed and the drag force goes up by a factor of 4.
You might try driving at 62 and 63 mph and it should do a bit better. Also hills vs. flat terrain makes a big difference.

We have a 2012 also with 16000 mi. We are just finishing a 3000+ mi trip to Colorado Springs via Yellowstone and Jackson, WY going and back to north Idaho through Glacier National Park. We crossed the Continental Divide 5 times and got as high as 8000'. Our average has been 6.6 towing a tow dolly-about 2700 pounds total. Got a high of 8 and a low of 5.5 when crossing the divide and fighting Wyoming and eastern Montana 25+mph winds.
Went to Arizona last winter and averaged that also and averaged 6 towing 5000 pounds. That was before adding the 5-star tune which I am pleased with.
I run around 65 to 70 mph as a rule. Hope that helps. Grades are a killer as is altitude.
