2013 Itasca Ellipse 42QD Charging Question

Can anyone with the same coach or Winnebago Tour verify that when on shorepower, both the chassis batteries and house batteries should charge simultaneously via the on board Magnum 2800 Inverter/Charger?

Thanks for any help you can provide and we can go for there.

Hi There, I have a 2012, have had it since new and it definitely charges both. I believe that the Chassis battery is a trickle charge, Mine stays around 13.1V when I am plugged in. My House batteries sit around 13.4 when plugged in. I was just in mine today getting it ready for a trip.
Hope that helps

GrantR,

Thank you for replying.

I am helping my storage neighbor out who obviously has a charging issue. He is getting charging voltage from the inverter/charger via a doogie bone step down to 110 volt/15 amp receptacle.

Were seeing 13.7 at the house batteries, but his chassis batteries are only showing 12.3 with a multi-meter.

Typically, the charge voltage reading would be nearly equal at both battery banks, so their is something amiss.

We will dwelve into it a bit further when he returns in a couple of weeks.
