2014 Itasca Ellipse 42GD Air Bags

Hi, new owner. How do you keep the airbags from deflating when parking the coach. It would be handy to work on underneath if they stay inflated.

Also how do you access the back of the TV thats above the fireplace. Thanks

You are going to get a lot of comments. Mostly negative as in "don't do it". The safe approach is to *not* trust the air in the air bags or the coaches jacks to work under it. Run it up on solid wood blocks or use very heavy duty jack stands. Even if you don't dump the air bags when parking they will bleed out over time and the coach will gradually lower on it's suspension.

On the TV, we always had issues attaching cables etc to the back of our TV. Solved that by unbolting it from the wall and putting it on a swing mount.

Good suggestion on working under coach. I just bought some 12 ton jack stands to place under the retracted leveling jacks. This is a good investment. Especially if you knock out an air line while under the coach.

On my 42qd, there's a small storage area behind the TV. There's a plastic lever in the cabinet above the TV on the right side that releases the TV. Not sure if the 42gd has that.

Same here I also have a couple of 12 ton jack stands I use if under the coach. Not worth the risks of something failing.

Look at your leveler manual. You should have a manual mode which will allow you to independently control the air bags and the levelers.
My fireplace TV had a strap tucked under the bottom which when pulled released the bracket lock so I could lift off the TV. The power goes through and into the medicine cabinet and the cables connect in the cabinet above.
