2014 Tour roof

Polished the chalky looking fibreglass roof with Meguiars Marine cleaner/wax then added a coat of Meguiars Flagship wax. Looks like new again. Surprisingly not slippery at all.

When you get up there after a morning dew, be very careful. I think you might reassess your observations. I wax my roof too and dry is ok, but wet is scary slippery.
Makes it so much easier to keep clean.

Bern,
That's a lot of surface area. What (electric?) tools did you use?

Looks great, you did exactly the same as I did using the exact same products. I had to go on the roof though, didn't think about laying the rig on it's side like that!

Roof waxing

I used an electric buffer at 3000 RPM to apply the cleaner wax and buffed it off with microfibre cloth. Applied the flagship wax by hand and buffed it clean with the buffer. Sorry about the side ways picture.

Bern,
Thanks for describing the roof procedure. As for "great view", I'm interested in what community (what town) allows you to have such a nice, side-of-the-house RV storage? Any HOA problems?

Roof polishing

We live in a small community in western BC. It was a requirement for me to have RV parking when we purchased the land to build. No addition fees.

What I read is all pretty much appearance focused. How about the side seams? Properly maintained annually? This is what will keep your roof on the coach!

Roof

Roof does look good but explain to me what you would do to the side seals annually. The caulking in the trench still looks good.

I can not make out in your shot but your sealants need to be cleaned and waxed to.
I use the same polish and wax on the seals.

I use the Flagship Marine paste wax and it lasts at least 3 months but is pretty broken down by 6 months.
