2016 Minnie Winnie 22R House Batteries

Replacing house batteries (2) on my 2016 Minnie Winnie 22R.
What size replacements do I look for? Batteries are classified
by what "group", etc?

Most house batteries are 6 Volt but you could have two 12 volt. My recommendation is to get the information from the old batteries. They will have the voltage and group size and if they are AGM or lead acid.

What is the difference between 'AGM" batteries vs. "Lead Acid"?

AGM's are sealed and you don't have to worry about maintaining electrolyte levels but AGM's are more expensive.

AGM - Absorbed Glass Mat - are a form of lead acid battery. The other common form is flooded, or wet cell. AGM's are sealed, there's no user maintenance. Per given pound of battery flooded and AGM will have similar amp hour capacities, the key distinction being the AGM does not need water added and has the benefit of being able to operate in living space without open air venting. AGM's are nominally 2x the cost of flooded, so balance that against their operating features. Given the price points of AGM vs Lithium you would need a specific reason to pick AGM, as Lithium is right there in terms of $ per Ah, plus other benefits. For basic Ah capacity and service life, it's still hard to beat flooded lead acid at least for now.

If your converter is compatible I would install LiFePO4 aka LFP batteries
Nearly twice the usable stored energy & weighing 2/3 of lead acid or AGM batteries.

I look at both lead acid and lithium battery specs, I can't find usable and un-usable specs anywhere. Lithium marketing makes claims, but that's just marketing, like this toothbrush is the best. Meaningless.

Can your statement about usable energy be backed up by any specs ?

Group 24 under the step

I believe your 22R is similar to my '19 25 B in that your battery(s) mount under the steps.
They are probably Group 24, 12 volt. I replaced my 2 FLA with 2 lifepo4 with low temp cutoff (LTCP) from Redodo. They dropped in with very little work. I have roof top solar to top charge the batteries so I did not change my convertor. We boondock nearly 100% of the time. Since I got my Redodo's 2 years ago they now offer group 24 drop in with BT & LTCP.
I would look closely at all the lifepo4 options before FLA. Will Prowse is our go to expert.
