50 amp service/Inverter

I have a 2012 Winnebago Tour. I am hooked into 50 amp service at an RV park. I have both a portable and onboard surge protector. The portable surge protector and onboard master control shows no errors, 122 volts on both lines. Yet it seems like the inverter is carrying the electrical load. I turn the inverter off and all the electrical goes out. I checked the main circuit breaker and that seems fine. Help!

When you "...checked the main circuit breaker and that seems fine", are you confirming that the two 50A circuit breakers are ON? For my rig, I'm talking about the AC breaker panel located at the foot of the bed. Is it the same for your rig?

Diagrams show that SHORE or GENERATOR -provided power proceeds to the EMS circuitry and then to the AC breaker panel. There are no breakers or circuit interrupters of the 50-amp sources up to and thru the EMS...which explains why you are reading "122 volts both lines"...but your inverter is providing power (from the house batteries). That tells me that the 50A breakers are currently in the OFF position. If these breakers appear ON, go ahead and throw them OFF, then back ON.
