'95 Vectra 34RA - Evap. Can location

I don't see the location in the manual, thought I would check here before crawling around. I guess it could be as simple as a vacuum line falling off the intake (like when it failed last year with high HC's) but, it didn't actually fail the exhaust part of the testing.

Didn't pass emission because fuel "evap system" leak.

Ford 460

TIA

James, I don't know if his will help or not. I had a 2006 F53 V10, the evaporative canisters were inside the left (driver side) frame rail. There were 2 of them, cylindrical shape and each was about a foot long.

I found them on the passenger's side behind the front wheel, outside of the frame.
Now the question is, what hoses are supposed to go where?
Both cannisters look the same with three ports.
The front one has a single hose that goes to the back can, a pair of hoses; one appears to be going to an electric selenoid and the other appears to be going back to the fuel tank.
The rear can has the single hose going to the front can, the pair of ports; one has a cap on it the other is disconnected from something. The disconnected port is in the same location as the one on the front can that goes to a selenoid.
I am wondering if there needs to be a T in the line to connect both to the selenoid or have I lost a line to something else?

Thx

Thank you.
I will lift the engine cover today to see if there is something floating around there.

The heck of it is, they (emissions testing) have never looked at this before, I have the past reports for 5 years showing it was 'unaccessable'. So I am not sure how long this line has been off.

BTW - My evap can's are rectangular, not round.

{Edit} I pulled the engine cover and didn't see any dangling tubes. The tube that goes to a selenoid continues to the PCV valve.

Here are a couple of pix. The hose on the rear unit goes to the front. The front connections, 1/4 inch to the engine vaccum via a device on the valve cover and the PCV then to rear of engine some where. 3/8 hose drops down to crossmember attaches to steel tube then I suspect to fuel tanks.
On the route picture it is the dotted lines on the left hand side of the screen.
okay, you will get pix when I can upload them.

Doh... I didn't look behind the hood for a vacuum diagram.

So maybe I just cap the extra port I have open.

Thank you for the help.

I couldn't find the vacuum diagram but, using yours, I capped off the single port that was open because it looks like the rear can only has one line connected to the front can.

Thank you so much. I had run out of places to find the info. Winne told me to ask Ford.

No problem, I rolled around on the ground before I thought to look for a diagram too.

Take care.
