AC compressor needed

Our 2008 Itasca Latitude has a Coleman-Mach AC (model 6538B871) It was built as a sealed system. That was changed 3 years ago when we had to replace a bad compressor. Local dealer made me bring him the basement AC unit. Worked on it for 3 weeks. I picked it up and re installed it. Repair cost just under $6K. The second compressor is now bad. I cannot buy a replacement from Coleman-Mach or Tecumse or anyone else because federal law says they can't sell me parts for a sealed system. I offered to send photographs of my unit, which has ports for adding or removing coolant. Still no deal. I just bought a compressor from a Texas dealer. He said it was my model. I paid $940. It came Saturday. It is a different model, which runs on R-410A coolant. My ac runs on R-22. Can anyone tell me how I can buy a tecumseh model RK5513E-AA3A??? (The only ones I found in scrap yards are in RVs that caught fire and burned up. No guarantee the ac is still ok)

That dealer saw you coming. You can buy an entire new universal replacement Coleman-Mach/RVP for $4,540.
RVP no longer makes all the different versions of their basement heat pump/ air conditioner, just that one.

These basement units are independent of each other as far as refrigerant. They should be able to be charged with different refridgerant. Are you able to return the new compressor?

Resolved

My AC repair man was able to by an original replacement compressor for less than $600. We installed it late last night. When I get home tonight I will try to put the AC unit together and reinstall it in the bottom of our motor home. By late tonight or tomorrow, I hope to have a working unit again. Thank you to everyone who responded to my thread.

That is a 208/240-volt compressor.

Thank.
You again , but as of today, we have purchased a new compressor and repaired the air conditioner and it works perfectly. I no longer need a compressor.
