AC/heater control panel

Looking for suggestion on how to remove the AC/heater control panel out of a 02-Winnebago Adventurer, without tearing the whole dash apart.

Hi
While I haven't done this on an RV I have done on similar set ups, would see if you can remove each control knob usually they pull off, under the knobs should be a lock nut remove lock nuts securing the switch to the face plate after face plate is removed there maybe more visible screws that secure each switch body to the support bracket. Before pulling the knobs check that they don't have any locking screws in the plastic knob itself. If all else fails contact Winnebago for advise.
Hope this helps

Hi
Is what your showing in the photo the back of a new unit ? can't see three control knob stems can see the support bracket screw holes each side and what looks like spade connectors stubs. So your saying the knobs don't pull off the stems which would be I think a typical install, I would contact Winnebago Tech support It may save a lot of head scratching sorry I wasn't any help.
Good Luck
Kindest Regards

Want to replace the switch along with all the lines. Mine is sandwiched between the dash cover and a black medal plate.

First, why are you replacing the controls? Yes, you do have to tear enough dash apart until you can get to it. It is fastened in from the back with bolts. I had mine out a couple of years ago only to find out after I had it back in that was not the problem. Are you having trouble with the dash ac?

Those tabs on each end are where the bolts are that hold it in.

Mine had a vacuum leak and so I assumed it was the controls but after replacing the vacuum control it done no good. I found a line in the front up against the firewall had rotted away on the back side of it where it wasn't visible. The control panel very seldom gives problems but it is possible. Make sure it is not a problem that is easily accessible from under the hood such as vacuum lines and relays for the fan.

After rechecking all the vacuum lines with a vacuum gauge and checking leak down, took it out on a road test and ALL was good!

Glad you resolved the problem. I assume you did not end up replacing the controls?
