Adventure front valance, fiberglass broken!

My 2002 Adventure, hit a soft wall and broke fiberglass around
the parking/turn signal, and broke the windshield.
My body man wants to remove the whole front valance/fiberglass,
below the windshield. Has anyone ever removed such or have
known anyone to do this. It will be removed at his shop and
I will bring the coach home. He likes to remove things like hoods
and fenders when they are the only thing that are to be worked
and painted....I got the windshield replaced for $1,000 plus. and
he said he can repair and paint front for about the same, plus/minus.

It is made to be easily removed. Depending on the extent of the damage, he likely needs to get to the back side to do a quality repair of the fiberglass.
