Aqua-hot 459-d boiler filler.

The hose from the Aqua-hot in my 2011 42QD that goes to the expansion tank broke off. The low tank-level light is red. I replaced the hose and refilled the expansion tank. How do I refill the boiler tank? I've looked on the Aqua-hot site and it just says 'refill the boiler' but it doesn't say how. Can anybody help me?

If you start the aquahot, it will bubble the air out into the expansion tank, and when it cools, it will draw the fluid back into the boiler. It will probably take a few cycles to get it refilled.

Unfortunately, the Aqua-hot won't start. The manual says when the low level light is on, it won't allow the system to turn on. I need to find a way to fill the tank enough for the light to go off so the system will start. Any other ideas? I'm trying to do this myself. Can't really afford a tech service call if we can avoid it.

BTW....it's a 450-d, not a 459-d. Fat fingers, small keyboard.

My 600D has a pressure cap on the top of the unit. I would assume I can put coolant in through it.

Open the aqua hot box (3 bolts) and just inside is a drain hose with a valve on the end. You can pump solution in through that hose. Probably will have to get a few fittings and a pump to make it happen that way. Keep watching the expansion tank as you fill it.
