That model has separate controls for the 120VAC
15A circuit breaker>>>to 120VAC On/Off Switch>>>ECO/T-stat>>>element

ECO is manual reset ----- hole in cover to push reset button
OEM On/Off Switch, ECO/T-stat and element are on backside of water heater under the protective cover
OEM switch on the cover......RV MFG On/Off Switch inside the RV

Access to backside of WH Tank
Could be via false panel cabinet, drawers
Could be via exterior access panel underneath Water Heater

Could be you have to disconnect and remove
AC, DC, Propane and Engine Coolant Lines

nascamp - Directly under the water heater there are two access panels for servicing the back of your unit. I changed out the electric element using these panels.

In the very back of the water heater there's a 12 volt relay that switches the 120 vac to the heating element. I had a loose ground to that relay and couldn't get electric to work, but was ok on propane. Make sure the nut on that stud is tight and not corroded.

Good luck,
Bill

OP has a 3E version............does not have that 12VDC Relay

The Electric is all 120VAC
12VDC is for GAS Only functions

The 4E (10 gal) and 10E (6 gal) models AFTER 2003 use the common 12VDC circuits with the DC relay to trigger Electric
