auto level jacks won't retract
Brought home my new Adventurer 37F today and set it up in front of my house. When I went to remove it, the right rear jack failed to retract fully. It stopped about 4-5" short of the left jack. I auto leveled again and then retracted all jacks with the same result. AS this is a new coach and I am a newbie what the heck did I do wrong and what do I do? Coach is drivable but am worried about the jack being slightly lower than the others. Any thoughts?

i use silicon spray lube on my hwh jack shafts 3 or 4 times a year to keep my jacks retracting properly.
you can use a 2x4 to lever the jack up to fully stowed if the lube doesn't work.
this situation should be covered by your new coaches warranty.

There are plenty of threads on this topic, my 06 Horizon has never completely worked to specification in this area since I have had it...I have had sprins, jacks, lubed not lubed and still at least 1 season 1 HWH jack does not go up all the way...HWH does not recommend applying lubricant of any kind although many do, you can use a 2x4 but it is easy to bend it so it will get worse and need to be replaced. I have done both of these things myself out of desperation to get the jacks up and the warning bell to stop chiming so I got drive in piece. The jacks have been the only real reoccurring problem with my coach all others break get fixed and stay fixed... .Id say have the dealer make sure its not a stuck solenoid by manually opening the valve to that jack and seeing if it then goes up if it does its the solenoid if not have the jack replaced..Good luck..

I wouldn't think a new MH would have the problem, but I recently purchased a used 2006 and had the same problem; jacks took forever to retract and one just would not without "help". I had not checked the fluid level in the hydrolic system. Had it serviced and they've worked great ever since (and fast).

One of our members ,Smlranger, had the same problem. Silicone will cure most of the jack ailments but he found that SUPER LUBE DRI FILM was slicker and did the trick for him...Do soak them in either one and operate them in and out a few times and see what happens. Shouldn't need new springs this soon. Good Luck

Thanks for all your help. Just an update. Did all the silicone lube fixes but no change in jack performance. Went to manual adjust and lowered only the rear jacks several times but this did not work either. Using a 2x4 gently would not force the jack up so I called the dealer. Dealer said since no alarms were going off and I could drive the mh, I should just not worry about it and travel normally. Talked to another dealer and he suggested that he check it out. Long story short, jack was defected and is being replaced under warranty. However, while waiting for the part, we are able to use the coach with no problems.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions.
