Lost the cover over the motor for the awning over the entrance door on our '03 Journey DL to a tree almost a year ago. Dealer has been no help what so ever, he'd be glad to take the MH in trade, less a lot for a cover smaller than a hat.
Ideas/recommendations? I can paint it myself.

I would talk directly to the awning mfg ...Carefree or whoever. Once you get the part # for what you need, if they will not sell to you directly, get them to refer you to a local Carefree or whoever dealer who can get it for you. Then tell the dealer Carefree or whoever sent you to them, and exactly what you need.
OR,
(if it is a Carefree awning) contact RV's R Us (www.rvsrusinc.com/) in Denver. Telephone 303-232-2714. When I wanted a Carefree entry door shade last year, I got it from them at a better price than I could anywhere else, shipped to me on the road.
