Thanks to Jane & John for the tips on installing the Xantrex EchoCharge (on their webpage) We installed ours last weekend - works great. We followed your example to the "T"

The EchoCharge ($116) uses house batteries to trickle charge the chassis batteries. IN THEORY, dead starting batteries will be a thing of the past. I see that Winnebago is now putting such units (different manufacturer) as standard equipment on new class A's.

We ordered a TOAD CHARGE as well (about $120) to connect the toad's battery to the coach's batteries. IN THEORY, a dead toad battery will be a thing of the past. This has been a recurring problem for us.
