I have a '08 31C on the Chevy/Workhorse chassis. I want to install a Trik-L-Start. Where do I look for the battery isolater relay? I can't seem to find it...
Thanks,
Dan

Dan - doesn't sound like anybody has an idea. Give Winnie a call tomorrow - they'll know.

Dan - I just installed a Trik-L-Start in my Itasca last month, and it works great. My solenoids are under the entry steps inside the battery compartment, mounted on the back wall. Wherever they are on your rig, they should be pretty close to the batts, and there are two of them, and the unit connects between them. If it's different from mine, or you can't spot them easily, try following the batt cables, and you will find the solenoids.... Hope this helps.

I think I found it... In the back of the lower compartment next to the house batteries, behind the fuse panel. Not obvious. Did not get to far into it yet, need more time to disconnect all power to everything!!! Maybe on my days off.
Now, let me see if I understand this correctly. If I install the Trik-L-Start as advertised, and then I happen to turn off the main breaker to the house batteries (like in storage) the Trik-L-Start will not eventually run down the house batteries charging the chassis battery. Right???
I did find a quick and easy "workaround" for charging the chassis battery-plugged a Battery Tender into the outlet where the TV is, and inserted the charging lead into the cigarette lighter (I think they are still called that) with the appropriate adaptor.
Thanks,
Dan

Shouldn't be a problem. lslproducts.com (trick-l-start) says it never needs to be disconnected, and it has an automatic shut-off to avoid running down the house batts. Sounds good, but personally, I would test it out. Mine is working perfectly, but I don't store my rig with the batts isolated, it's always got power.
