Bed frame removal to access wiring

I have a 2002 Itasca Sunrise 30' without a rear slide in the bedroom. I want to install a Select Comfort matress and need a electrical outlet under the bed for the air pump to operate. I also need to repair a couple of drawer slides on the side of the bed at the same time and have very little room to work on these. I plan on removal of the bed frame to access these however there is a large box under the bed with a vent out the side of the bed that I am quessing to be a air return for the heat/cooling system. Is this a correct assumption on the air return and does anyone have experience with installing electrical under the bed and found a better way to go about this without removing the bed?
Thanks, Bill

bed frame removal to access wiring

I would take the shortcut and use a quality extension cord from a night stand outlet next to the bed and drill an access small hole in the side of the bed frame out of sight and lead my wire thru the hole and under the bed....RKL

Talking Shortcut

Thanks but I want to hide everything from sight. Also, I would like to know what is in the large box under the bed, it is much larger than required for a air return. Thanks, Bill

Mine has a false bottom which can be removed fairly easily. If you take off the top hinged portion remove the gas shocks first

Answer to my own question

The box under the bed is housing to clear the furnace below the bed.
Thanks for the replies, Bill
