Carefree of Colorado slideout awning spring

Anyone have experience replacing a Carefree of Colorado slideout awning spring? Mine is binding when I try to put the slide out. Talked to Carefree tech and they indicated that it was most likely the spring. It's on a 2019 Winnebago Adventurer 30T. I purchased a new spring. About $110 plus shipping. It seemed worth trying at that price. The tech said I could do it myself if I followed the instructions in the manual that covered the model I have.
In addition to any personal experience with the install, I'd love to see any video you know of that covers mine. I've seen videos on other models but not mine.
Thank you
Del

First, make sure, (if equipped, like my 2000) that any TRAVEL LOCK RATCHETS are not locked?

There is a small hole in each end cap, use spray lubricant in each to lube the springs. Mine took 5-6 extensions/retractions for the rust to break loose between spring coils. It had work fine ever since. Now I give each spring a shot of lube every year, for all 6 of my Carefree awings.

Thank you Ray. I tried lube first and no help. Ended up replacing the spring. Seems to work fine now. But I'll remember to add some lube and maybe prevent the failure that I had. Thanks again. Del

DRAY53, SO did you find a Broken spring, or simply rusted? If rusted, can wire brush, lube/ free up and keep for spare?

Didn't appear broken. But for $110 I'm not going to bother with it.
