CAT Scale Weights for the 31K Motorhome
Hi all,
Could anyone share the CAT scale weights for this model?
I'm wonder how much cargo capacity is left at the front and back of the motorhome after the basic weight is accounted for.

I'm not sure I understand the question but why not take your motorhome to a CAT scale to get the weights for your coach? Many, if not most, truck stops have CAT scales and the cost is incredibly minimal. We've weighed our motorhome at our local Love's Truck Stop several times, usually after it's loaded in preparation for a long trip. The CAT Weigh My Truck app makes it incredibly easy.
If you're talking about the cargo capacity for your particular coach, it can usually be found on a placard somewhere in your motorhome. The front and rear axle capacity for our motorhome is also listed on the placard noting tire pressure recommendations.

Ask the seller for a picture of the yellow OCCC sticker found on the door or door frame.
Unless it's older than about 2007 or 2008. Then it won't have one.

I want to know the actual axle load. If someone has weighed their 31K, please post.

My 2000 and 2005 Winnebago both had the OCC label in the clothes closet.

I just looked up a 31K to see just what it is. It appears it is a class C, although I have never had a class c from what I have read on here those types do not have much OCC.

I owned a 2014 31 K . It started life with a very respectable, for a Class C ,3,275# OCC. Over the years of ownership, I had it weighed 3 times. Each one had plenty of OCC left even loaded with "stuff". The weights on each axle left plenty of extra carrying capacity and had a good weight distribution.
All that being said, those weights won't mean much to you. Every motor home has a different weight, because of options or lack of options and what might have been added or changed since new , if buying used. The only way to find that weight distribution is to have that particular motor home weighed.

You're doing the right thing trying to assess the load carrying capability of the unit you have interest in, but the most important one is the spec number that people are advising you of. That's the max value that you'll have to work with should you go thru with the purchase. From there, it's 100% up to each owner and how he/she loads it. Anybody can stay within the maximums so long as they understand what that is, and then keep the add'l discretionary loading to a number that doesn't surpass it. Question for you really is, then, is there enough spec cargo capability left for you to be able to use the RV in the manner you envision.
So, it really doesn't matter, and isn't useful to you, what the CAT Scale numbers might be for various users. You need to understand the specs and then consider if you can stay within them. Anecdotally, asking other owners what type of cargo they typically carry while staying within their maximums might be more useful.

Yes it will; my MH has a paper sticker in a closet listing all that information.

Our 2004 Itasca has that information posted on a sheet in the closet as well as a yellow sticker near the driver's door.

The OP is looking for the weight distribution on each axle, not the OCCC. That is a number that can only be found by putting the MH he is interested in on a scale. The weights from any other MH are meaningless.

The only place that UVW weight distribution Frt-to-Rear might to be available (if at all) would be either from the seller or Winnebago, if they had weighed it for that info, and in that condition.

Prior to the federally standardized OCCC sticker each manufacturer did their own thing so while you have a sticker with the weights it can be very difficult to do an apples to apples comparison.
