Sorry for the newbe question but... what should I use to clean the black off of the sealer used on the roof. This is my first RV and I don't want to screw anything up.

Since it was outside at the dealership for a while the dirt must have built up on all the seams. I now store it inside and want it to keep it looking nice.

Also anyone have any wax recommendations?
Thanks

Welcome, Everyone has their "favorite" cleaner, wax, oil, etc. I think Thetford makes a black streak remover, These are the same people that make toilet chems etc. I use their WashnWax to keep my Moho looking good but Turtle wax make a WashnWax that I like also. Do a search under cleaners, wax, black streak etc. and you will find many posts about the subject. Safe Miles and

Thanks Ichn2go, the only concern I had was using something on the sealers for the seams. I just don't want to use something that will have an adverse effect on it (the sealers).

Thanks

Hi Craig, and welcome. The Black Streak remover that Jimmy recommended has worked for me too, and it's not on there long enough to cause any problems. Make sure the coach is wet first, then spray it on the area you want to clean. Never spray it on a dry surface, or let it dry on any surface. Just wait a few moments, wash it with a sponge and rinse.

I'm not sure about a wax on the seam material, but any good wax, like Turtle wax, will keep your rig looking new.

Another recommendation of cleaners, that I personally like is Voom, diluted with water according to the chart on the back of the jug. It works on black streaks really good, and can be used (in different mix ratios) for washing the whole rig, cleaning carpets, etc. I mix some up and keep it in a spray bottle for the black streaks.
