Concern about stove being so close to wood cupboard.

Hi all,

I just bought a Micro Minnie 1700 BH and am getting it ready to take out on my first trip. I just noticed how close the flame on the stove will be to the wood cupboard right next to it -- maybe just a few inches. This concerns me and I'm wondering if it's really nothing to be concerned about or if I should consider protecting the wood in some way from the open flame and heat, not to mention food and grease spatters and stains.

Thanks in advance!

If it worries you perhaps one of the metal kick plates home centers sell to go on the bottom of doors would be about the right height. You likely would have to cut it shorter. You could attach it with 3M tape.

Putting a metal plate or even a few tiles along the wood might be a good idea.
