The plastic covers (we think they are plastic) on the basement doors of our motorhome are applied to the metal backing with double sided tape. This tape is now letting go. We would be interested if anyone else has had this problem and if so how they rectified it.

Thanks

I'm not sure what Winnebago used on that product. At the time, 3M probably recommended # 4930 VHB double coated foam tape. If you call (09) 444-4760 and ask for the Industrial Tape Division help desk, you might be able to find a local distributor. If you can also get a small amount of 3M surface primer (#81?) you could make a better than new repair.

Many thanks for your response. It has been most helpful. I have tracked down a supplier close to us who can provide that product.

Anytime I need anything in the industrial world - adhesives, tapes, bolts, bearings, etc. - it's time for www.mcmastercarr.com .

Good prices, good service, reasonable shipping. I have no connection whatsoever to them, other than being a long-time satisfied customer.
