I just realized that the Interstate batteries in my Horizon 40AD with 400 Cummins were probably installed by the dealer. Mine are 31MHD with 950 CCA.

Question to other Horizon owners: What are the specs on your cranking batteries. I need to get new batteries.

Bet you'll be OK by replacing them with another set of Group 31's. Got 2 of them, right? That would be pretty much standard or what I'd expect to see installed for that size of engine.

Rex - Group 31 with 950 CCA sounds good. My engine was cranking okay even with one of the two chassis batteries not feeling well. The ability to bridge both battery banks takes much of the worry out of the state of the chassis batteries.
