Day Night Blind Installation Question

I am having difficulty getting the day night blind to snap into the middle clip underneath the valance. It is the shade located behind the sofa in a 2005 38J Adventure.

Has anyone encountered the same problem, and, if so, how did you handle it?

The trick is to slip the side opposite the snap tab in first and then push the shade into the clip. My problem is that the distance to the clip when I'm sitting on the couch makes it hard to reach that clip, so I put something on the couch to boost myself closer to the clip. A Woodall's directory - sometimes combined with the Trailer Life directory on top of it does the trick.

Hope this helps.

We replaced all of our day/night shades and I could not get any of them to snap in easily. I drilled holes in the top and screwed them in, much easier. Just have to stay near the ends so not as to twirl the inner string around the drill bit. Don't ask how I learned that tip!

The shades on my MH are held in by a middle clip and also screwed in at the ends. W8RLM has it right on how to accomplish. Another tip is to start the screws in the shade first before clipping it to the valance. Try to get another set of hands to help you. and a long 12" philips screw driver...

Thanks for all your replies regarding the difficulty of attaching the day night blinds to the center clip. I used a piece of 3/8 inch plywood and wedged between the blind and the valance to help get the blind on the front part of clip, and, once that was done, put my fingers between the blind and the valance and snapped the hook in place.

Thanks again for all your suggestions.
