I am hoping to get some help finding the problem with the digital compass & outside temp gauge in our '04 Adventurer. The gauge does nothing at all, it is competely dead. Is there a fuse in the feed to this gauge? Any idea where to start my troubleshooting?

Thanks in advance for any help or hints you can provide.

I'm not sure where your fuse is. It may be an in-line on the wiring harness or it may be one of those in the fuse block under the left-top corner of the dash, near the windshield pillar.

The plug-in harness to the unit has 4 wires. Red is the hot battery feed that keeps power to the unit. Black is ground. The orange wire comes from the ignition switch. Whenever the key is ON, the display will light. Whenever the key is OFF, the display will not be lit. If you have no power at the red wire, it won't light up so follow it back to the key switch if that's the case. The white wire goes to the headlamp switch and dims the display for night driving when power is present.
