Doing some Winnebago body work.

We recently purchased a 2006 Winne Outlook and we are pretty happy with it. The floor plan is great for the two of us.

There is one trouble spot I need to take care of before it gets worse and I was looking for anyone who may have words of wisdom based on their experience.

Some previous driver ground off a bit of the right rear corner (real passenger's side), exposing raw wood. This was left untouched, but now the wood has swelled, and even a bit of rot has invaded. We have had nothing but rain for the last couple of months and the thing hasn't had the opportunity to dry out.

I do have a lot of fiberglass experience, and a little body work. What I'm thinking of doing is drying out (using the sun or mild heat lamps) and grinding out all soggy wood. Then, fill with epoxy resin. If I do a good job of hollowing out the bad spot, I hope to keep the outside intact and not have to repaint too much.

Any other opinions?
