Dometic NDA 1402 replacement

We have an 09 Vectra with a Dometic NDA 1402 refrigerator. If any members have replaced this unit, what name and model would you suggest?

Is the old unit removed out the door and will the new unit enter through the door?
Thank you

I can not help with your direct question. However I will give you a different option that may work for you.

Instead of replacing the unit, if the face and inside is ok, why not just replace the cooling unit. You might want to try JC Refrigeration they have excellent products. https://jc-refrigeration.com/

I have a Norcold in my unit and it stopped working all together. Time to replace, I found that removing the old through the door would be easy. However the new unit would have to come through the front windshield. I did not want to remove it.

I replaced the cooling unit with a JC Refrigeration unit and could not be happier. As I am always plugged in I went with a totally 110v unit that works very well.

Again just an other route you may want to look into
