EGR Delete Kit Ford 460???

Has anyone ever installed an EGR delete kit on a 1996 EFI Ford 460 Engine? Any advantages or disadvantages? It works wonders on diesel power plants. I was asking because mine needs replacing, and was wondering if deleting it all together is best. I do not live in a state with emission control. Thanks!

You do live in the US (maybe?) and technically it's still illegal deleting it.

That being said, I'd delete it too

YUP...I guess I don't care. I'm pretty sure LE isn't trained in EGR delete expertise.

Sorry, but you won't find any performance improvement by removing it and your Check Engine light will be on permanently since the computer/emissions system actually checks that the EGR physically opens and closes when it should.
